This week, the yankees are coming and Ewen is painfully outnumbered by our colonial cousins. This week a great look at changes to Apple TV, THe iPhone 6 (yawn) and finally a proper advert for our new sponsors Network Union.
The Mac show
The Mac show. We discuss everything Apple, Mac, Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and iPod. Will Green, Dr Happy Mac, Don McAllister, Kyle Swager and Ewen Rankin shoot the breeze on Apple.
This week required a LOT of editing. First Greenie says something which is wholly inappropriate, then Ewen says something on the New Sponsors add that he’s not allowed to say and in the mix are a couple of FBombs. All in usual week on The Mac Show. Back to normal next week
We celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the birth of consumer computing with a reminisce of our first and favourite Macintosh Computers. Paul Kent also joins us to outline what we can expect from the 30th Anniversary of Macworld as well. It doesn’t get any more ‘Mac’ than this week. (Did I mention I was going to Macworld? No?)
This week, the durth of news leads to the usual mischief but Batwench in the chatroom steers the conversation towards sex toys and we then search for what devices are out there for iOS and the Bedroom
We talk 4K, Mac Pro and all the sales that Apple made in 2013.
This week, The Mac Show and the BIG Show combine to give you our total predictions for the world of tech for the coming year. Its not just the musing of us old farts either…its YOUR predictions from the Google Communities as well. Did you get a mention?
Santa fronts the Christmas Quiz with Ewen down the pub. Don McAllister, Will Green Kelly Guimont & Adam Christianson review the Year in Mac
So sorry for the delay in posting this week. Normal service will be resumed next week
Mr Ihnatko stops by for his monthly visit and Kelly stops by, then leaves, then stops by, then leaves.
We discuss the iPad Pro at 12.9″ and lots more from the week in Apple
Will has a new piece of toilet reading but baulks at the tweed and rubber and Kelly has the best ever video and audio using her phone. The reviews just keep on coming and we talk the Apple News
Ewen has upset the Fanbois…there’s a surprise and we actually talk Apple without Ewen slagging off a ‘Great COmpany’ and not being an Anchor. Do I have that right?
The iPad Air came actually made Ewen queue for an Apple product for once and yes…even Ewen confesses its a good upgrade. But Apple let themselves down just a little bit by wholesale changes of the magnets for the covers and by overcharging for a ‘Smart’ Cover which is the dumbest purchase you could possibly make
One week on from the keynote, we ask about the fallout from the ‘new products’ and also look at iPad Air release
Apple finally deliver a keynote worth of their status. Not just bland upgrading but some real innovation. We talk you through the highs and lows.
Will Green demon eye for a ‘bargain’, lands him with the tech of yesteryear…minus the chargers. Ah Well. Oh yeah, sorry nearly forgot…there’s some Apple stuff too
Karl Madden is in the hosting chair once again to discuss the weeks Apple news. Joining him are Kelly Guimont, Alex G. Fox and Andy Ihnatko as they discuss the suspected upcoming iPad launch, Apple bugs, Office coming to iPad and a one off camera designed by Jony Ive himself.
This week, we invite YOUR questions for the show and we get plenty. Pareto’s 80/20 Rule seems to apply…most definitely
Adam from the MacCast joins Will, Jeff, Kelly, Karl and Ewen for an understanding of the maths behind Apples supply issues and the need for all Apple products to be in Chav Colours
Karl Madden is joined by Alex Fox, Don McAllister, Jeff Gamet, Will Green and Kelly Guimont as she braves the Apple line in search of a new iPhone. Also we discuss Jony Ives new OS and delve into its many features with a live test of call blocking…kinda
