Chat room commands for moderators

Commands for the channel owner only

Slow Mode

Slow Mode being activated. Slow Mode: (This feature is for the channel owner and moderators only) Turning on slow mode means that only Moderators are able to speak at a normal rate. Other users will only be able to send messages at the given time rate. Turn on this mode if you are being spammed or if messages are going too fast.

To Activate the default (2 minutes per line) slow mode, select "Slow Mode" from the Chat Settings Menu box. Alternatively, you can type /slow into the chatroom. (For users in IRC, Slow Mode can be activated with /mode #roomname +m). To Deactivate Slow Mode, deselect "Slow Mode" from the Chat Settings Menu box. Alternatively, you can type /slowoff into the chatroom. (For users in IRC, Slow Mode can be deactivated with /mode #roomname -m).

Time Interval Customization

A Channel Owner or Moderator has the ability to choose the rate in which a user is limited to speaking, ranging from 1 second to 5 minutes. To set a custom time, type /slow TIME into the chatroom. Replace TIME with the amount of seconds in which you would like a user to wait before sending their next message. Again, The TIME is measured by seconds.

For example: If you want users to be limited to sending a line of text every 30 seconds, type /slow 30. If you want users to be limited to sending a line of text every 4 minutes, type /slow 240. (240 / 60 = 4)

You can choose an interval between 1 second - 5 minutes (300 seconds).
